Technical specification
The first step of any work. A questionnaire, a briefing and a document you can price and build from.
We take on development only against a specification. If there is none, we write it: we send a questionnaire, run a one-day briefing and assemble the document over two days. The result describes roles, journeys, the set of screens, constraints and acceptance criteria, everything needed to price the work and to check the outcome.
Needed when the task is clear in conversation but has never been written down. Needed too when a document exists yet nothing in it can be priced or accepted against.
