The team updates the portfolio
Publishing a case stopped being a job for a contractor.
One decision
Problem
Every new case was marked up by hand. The bureau released work faster than the site managed to show it, and some projects never reached the portfolio at all.
Solution
A case assembles from ready blocks: cover, gallery, quote, facts. The editor sets the order, so every work is told its own way without a developer.
Result
Publishing takes half an hour and needs neither markup nor a deploy. The portfolio stopped lagging behind the bureau.
What we gave up
Freedom of layout narrowed: you cannot assemble absolutely any page out of blocks. That is a deliberate trade. The bureau got speed and one rhythm across all cases, and the rare special occasions we still build by hand.
